  • Yes, our CrayoLED™ is RoHS and REACH compliant. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of environmental responsibility and sustainability. The certificates can be found on our FILES page.

  • The total system design—thermal management, power design, and module design—directly contributes and effects the UV-C LED product lifetime.

Using TM-21 modeling, we have extrapolated an L70 lifetime of over 10,000 hours at standard operating conditions. In our testing, the CrayoLED™ running continuously for over 3,000 hours at 350 mA and more than 3,000 hours at 500 mA and 700 mA, with a solder temperature of 38 °C.

  • The CrayoLED™ has a nominal driving current of 350 mA and a maximum driving current of 500 mA. Running LEDs at their maximum values will have an effect on the overall performance and lifetime. Product performance and reliability depends on the overall system design—including (but not limited to) thermal management, optical design, and assembly processes and materials.

In our testing, the CrayoLED™ has been running continuously for over 6,000 hours at 350 mA and more than 3,000 hours at 500 mA, with a solder temperature of just 37.8 °C. This performance highlights the robustness and reliability of the CrayoLED™.

  • Our LEDs are measured using a pulsed forward current of 350 mA, then are binned and sorted by peak wavelength, output power, and forward voltage. Our bin tables can be found in our datasheet.

  • The key difference between the H-Series and HE-Series CrayoLED™ lies in their level of optimization and application flexibility.

Generally, the mechanical dimensions and substrate material compositions of the two series differ, catering to diverse integration needs.

    • Both LEDs feature a peak wavelength of 275 nm, a compact 3.5 x 3.5 mm footprint for seamless integration, a broad 120° beam angle, and are constructed using UV-C-optimized materials, including durable ceramic and high-quality UV-C transparent quartz glass.

The H-Series is designed for reliable, general-purpose disinfection with a peak wavelength of 275 nm, making it ideal for a wide range of water, air, and surface disinfection applications.

The HE-Series, offers advanced customization with options for 275 nm and a forthcoming 265 nm wavelength (launching in Q2 2025), allowing for precise optimization to meet specific disinfection requirements while maintaining superior performance and efficiency.

Our team of LED experts are available to answer your questions and provide guidance on which LED will be suited for your application. Please contact our support team at support@crayonano.com for further assistance.

UV-C LEDs opens opportunities for a positive and sustainable social and environmental impact

Cleaner water. Healthier air. Safer food. Disinfection with CrayoNano’s powerful UV-C LED technology can be used to improve people's lives.

UV-C radiation is a well-studied disinfectant used against bacteria, viruses, mold, and spores—commonly used in many disinfection, industrial, and commercial applications today. The power of UV-C to disinfect is through the breakdown of DNA and RNA when exposed to UV-C radiation, preventing microbes and other pathogens from replicating and inducing illness.

The demands of population density and resource scarcity call for novel strategies to automate disinfection processes in a manner that is efficient, resource-friendly, and cost-effective. UV-C LEDs enables new possibilities for applications that can have a significant positive impact on both society and the environment.
