CrayoNano Achieves Major Design-Win with Leading UV-C LED Water Disinfection System

CrayoNano has a significant design-win for its CrayoLED™ technology in a cutting-edge Point-of-Entry (POE) UV-C LED water disinfection system for whole house water treatment by a global leader in the development, manufacturing and sales of UV-C LEDs systems and disinfection products for water, air and surface applications. The fast design-in to market process with successful commercial market entry within only 6 months, reflects the value of a close collaboration between UV-C systems and LED component manufacturers for high commercial competitiveness.

Our customer has integrated CrayoNano’s CrayoLEDs into their state-of-the-art UV-C LED POE water disinfection solutions designed for residential and commercial water disinfection systems that are sold globally, with major markets of North America, Europe, and Asia. Their POE device is certified against NSF 55 Class “B”, integrates more than 15 LEDs per device, and delivering a UV-C dosage >16 millijoules/square centimeter (mJ/cm2) throughout its 10,000 hours lifetime. Their water disinfection system, with our UV-C LEDs designed inside, disinfects water at a flow rate of up to 50 liters per minute (LPM) with up to 6 log reduction (99.9999%) for bacteria and viruses. The compact and robust design, low maintenance requirements, and longer product lifetimes, provide safe and clean drinking water by effectively eliminating harmful microorganisms, delivering exceptional water quality made possible because of their proprietary design and UV-C LED technology.

UV-C disinfection systems provide an added layer of protection by effectively eliminating harmful microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and protozoa that traditional methods might miss. This effective and validated technology not only ensures safer drinking water but also offers peace of mind knowing that your family is protected from waterborne illnesses. Moreover, UV-C LED systems are environmentally friendly, mercury-free, reducing the need for chemical disinfectants and minimizing environmental impact through less frequent replacements due to the LED L70 lifetime of more than 10,000 hours. Investing in a UV-C LED water disinfection system is a simple, proactive step towards ensuring the health and safety of your household in today's uncertain water quality landscape.

One of the pivotal factors in securing this design- and business-win was CrayoNano’s customer-centric approach. From initial discussions to final integration process, CrayoNano worked closely with our customer to understand their specific needs and challenges. This collaborative process ensured that the CrayoLEDs met their UV-C LED water disinfection system and commercial requirements for our customer's product launch, now selling in major commercial big box stores such as Best Buy, Lowe's and Walmart in the United States. This successful integration of CrayoLEDs is a significant milestone for CrayoNano, reflecting the company's strong market traction and operational excellence. It also reinforces CrayoNano's position as a trusted supplier of high-performance UV-C LED components in the water disinfection market.

The product requirement, defined by our customer for the integrated system, outlines the meticulous engineering and rigorous 6-month testing that went into validating the solution. CrayoLEDs were subjected to stringent mechanical and performance evaluations at nominal operating conditions of 350 mA and beyond to 700 mA, ensuring they meet the high standards in several countries required for effective water disinfection and global commercial sales. Then CrayoLEDs were tested rigorously by our customer after integration into their POE system and before launching the product to its customers. This thorough validation process underscores the reliability and effectiveness of CrayoLED technology.

Global Sales Director, Mr. Stefan Stockbauer comments, "The UV-C LED market is in its early stages, and CrayoNano is at the forefront of driving market adoption with our customer-centric approach and industry-leading product performance. We are pleased to announce that our team has successfully delivered our UV-C LED products in large volumes, with thousands of our customers' UV-C LED water disinfection units now available in major big-box retail stores. This achievement reflects our commitment to working closely with our customers to bring sustainable UV-C LED solutions into homes worldwide, ensuring access to high-quality water for all."

CrayoNano is committed to driving innovation in UV-C LED technology and expanding our market share of UV-C LED products within the water disinfection market. This design-win is just one example of how CrayoNano’s products are making a difference in providing safe and sustainable solutions for water treatment. We are looking to continuing a strong relationship with our customer as the first volume order already delivered, initiating additional commercial opportunities in the later half of the year.
